Ina Garten is well-known American chef and author of a cookery book. She is also the Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa it began in 2002. It has since aired 27 seasons through 2020. Ina Garten began her career in the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget documents. While she found it to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and leased a small, speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. It was a huge success over the course of 18 years until she made the decision to close it. After that, she started the first book. Numerous other cookbooks and magazine columns follow. Meanwhile her Food Network television show too began its run and was popular. Furthermore, she sells everything from kitchen equipment to items and even containers. Ina never went to a cookery institute nor did worked in an establishment. She is a complete self-taught. Her casual approach to hosting and her unassuming culinary style is well-known. Her name is associated with her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Grilled Lemon Chicken Macaroni and cheese that includes Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
