Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cookbook author as well as an Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002, and has been aired for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten started her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget papers. Though she found the career to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. After 18 years of making her business a massive success, she sold it, and then began writing her first book. Other cookbooks followed, as were magazine articles. In the meantime the Food Network show was also successful. The company sells numerous things, from food ingredients cooking to kitchenware and storage. Ina she has not attended any cooking school, nor had a job in a restaurant. She has a complete self-taught. Ina is well-known for her simple style of cooking as well as her easy take on entertainment. Her most well-known recipes include easy recipes like Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
