Ina Garten is well-known American cookbook author as well as an Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa it began in 2002 and has aired 27 seasons through 2020. Ina started out writing nuclear energy policy documents and budgets for the White House. Though she found the career fascinating initially, in the end she was bored and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. She spent eighteen years making her store very successful, before selling it before putting pen to paper to write her first cookbook. Many other books and journal articles followed. In the meantime, the Food Network television show too made its debut and became an instant hit. Her range of items spans from kitchen equipment and cooking materials to storage containers. Ina was never a part of any cookery schools, or had a job in a restaurant. She is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining as well as her simple cook style are very well-known. Some of her most popular recipes include Skillet-Roasted, Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
