Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cook book author for many years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina began working in the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies and also the budget. Although she found her job interesting initially, she eventually dropped interest and purchased a small specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the store extremely successful prior to selling it and picking up the pen and writing her first book. Many other cookbooks and magazine columns were later published. Her Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. Also, Ina sells products that range from food items to storage containers and equipment. Ina is an aspiring cook that hasn't gone to a cooking academy, nor been in an kitchen. Her name is associated with her casual way of creating and entertaining. Some of her best known recipes include Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
