Ina-Garten
Ina Gardner is author of many famous American cookery books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, which has been running since 2002. Ina began her career by working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy reports. After initially finding the job fascinating and intellectually stimulating however, she began to get bored with it. Barefoot Contessa was then purchased. It took her 18 years to turn the store into wildly successful, before she decided to sell the store. After that, she started writing the first of many cookbooks. A number of magazines and cookbooks followed. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too began its run and was an instant hit. Also, Ina sells products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and tools. Ina has never attended any cooking academy and has never been employed in restaurants. She is self-taught. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining as well as her simple cooking style are well known. Some of her best known recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
