Ina Garden is an American cookbook author who has received Emmy Awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network series, Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. It will air for 27 more seasons. Ina Garten began her professional life at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget documents. The first time she was able to find her profession as stimulating intellectually, but eventually lost interest and bought a small speciality store for food called Barefoot Contessa. They spent 18 years making the store extremely successful before selling it and grabbing a pen to begin writing her first cookbook. Others followed, and so did magazine columns. Her Food Network TV show also debuted and became a massive success. In addition, she sells everything from equipment to cooking supplies and containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself who's never been to the cooking school nor employed in a kitchen. Ina's easygoing style of hosting and her unassuming style of cooking are widely known. Her name is associated with her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and cheese that includes Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
