Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is a popular American cookbook author for a number of decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina started her career creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets for the White House. Her first impression was that her job interesting and stimulating however, she eventually lost interest and purchased a tiny food specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make her shop wildly successful, before she sold the store. She then began to write her first cookbook. The cookbooks were followed by many more as well as magazine columns which followed. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. The company also offers a wide range of product from cooking ingredients to equipment and storage containers. Ina is an aspiring cook who has not been to a cooking class, nor worked in a kitchen. Her name is associated with her casual approach to cooking and entertaining. She is known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and the Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
