Ina Garden is an American cookbook author who has won Emmy awards. She hosts the oldest Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. It is scheduled to air for another 27 years. Ina Garten started her career in the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget documents. In the beginning, she found her work to be intellectually stimulating, however, she eventually lost interest and bought a small food specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. After nearly 18 years of making the store a huge success, she sold it and began creating her first novel. The cookbooks were followed by many more as well as magazine columnists that came later. The Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. Ina sells a variety of things, from food ingredients cooking to kitchenware and storage. Ina has never been to any cooking school, nor had a job in a restaurant. She has a complete self-taught. Her relaxed approach to entertaining and her straightforward culinary style is widely known. Her most well-known dishes include Skillet roasted lemon chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars and Mac and Cheese.
